ABV Determination for Beer: 3 different equations in the Brew Meister app

Within the Brew Meister for EasyDens and SmartRef mobile app you are able to choose three different equations to estimate the alcohol by volume (ABV) of your beer.

ABV determination with °Plato:

• Hubert Hanghofer Formula
  ABV = ρ * ABW / 0.7894

  ABW = 81.92 * (OG - FG) / (206.65 - 1.0665 * OG)

ABV determination with Specific Gravity:

  ABV = (OG - FG) * 131
